We consider a class of parametric variational inequalities where both the operator and the convex set depend on time. This kind of variational inequalities are useful to model many time dependent equilibrium problems. We study the Lipschitz continuity of the solutions with respect to the time parameter and construct approximations for them which minimize the average worst case error. Some improved estimates of the Lipschitz constant for this class of problems are given. In order to illustrate our procedure, we study a classical network equilibrium problem.  相似文献

We study the numerical radius of Lipschitz operators on Banach spaces via the Lipschitz numerical index, which is an analogue of the numerical index in Banach space theory. We give a characterization of the numerical radius and obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for Banach spaces to have Lipschitz numerical index 1. As an application, we show that real lush spaces and C  -rich subspaces have Lipschitz numerical index 1. Moreover, using the Gâteaux differentiability of Lipschitz operators, we characterize the Lipschitz numerical index of separable Banach spaces with the RNP. Finally, we prove that the Lipschitz numerical index has the stability properties for the c0c0-, l1l1-, and ll-sums of spaces and vector-valued function spaces. From this, we show that the C(K)C(K) spaces, L1(μ)L1(μ)-spaces and L(ν)L(ν)-spaces have Lipschitz numerical index 1.  相似文献

The main purpose of this article is to generalize a recent result about isometries of Lipschitz spaces. Botelho, Fleming and Jamison [2] described surjective linear isometries between vector-valued Lipschitz spaces under certain conditions. In this article, we extend the main result of [2] by removing the quasi-sub-reflexivity condition from Banach spaces.  相似文献

We discuss a dual of the Open Coloring Axiom introduced by Abraham et al. [U. Abraham, M. Rubin, S. Shelah, On the consistency of some partition theorems for continuous colorings, and the structure of 1-dense real order types, Ann. Pure Appl. Logic 29 (2) (1985) 123–206] and show that it follows from a statement about continuous colorings on Polish spaces that is known to be consistent. We mention some consequences of the new axiom and show that implies that all cardinal invariants in Cichoń’s diagram are at least 2.  相似文献

We introduce certain Sobolev-Besov spaces which are particularly well adapted for measuring the smoothness of data and solutions of mixed boundary value problems in Lipschitz domains. In particular, these are used to obtain sharp well-posedness results for the Poisson problem for the Laplacian with mixed boundary conditions on bounded Lipschitz domains which satisfy a suitable geometric condition introduced by R.Brown in (1994). In this context, we obtain results which generalize those by D.Jerison and C.Kenig (1995) as well as E.Fabes, O.Mendez and M.Mitrea (1998). Applications to Hodge theory and the regularity of Green operators are also presented.

In this paper, we study the convergence of Gauss-Newton's like method for nonlinear least squares problems. Under the hypothesis that derivative satisfies some kind of weak Lipschitz condition, we obtain the sharp estimates of the radii of convergence ball of Gauss-Newton's like method and the uniqueness ball of the solution.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of a class of control problems associated to a nonlinear second-order vector differential equation with pointwise state constraints. The control is realized via a function of the state. We extend the results of Akkouchi, Bounabat, and Goebel to vector differential equations and furthermore consider the more general case. Under proper conditions, we prove the existence of optimal controls in the class of Lipschitz functions and obtain an optimality condition which looks somehow like the Pontryagin maximum principle for a smooth optimal control function. For a nonsmooth optimal control function, we derive a suboptimality condition by means of the Ekeland variational principle.Communicated by M. J. We consider a trace theorem for self-similar Dirichlet forms on self-similar sets to self-similar subsets. In particular, we characterize the trace of the domains of Dirichlet forms on Sierpinski gaskets and Sierpinski carpets to their boundaries, where the boundaries are represented by triangles and squares that confine the gaskets and the carpets. As an application, we construct diffusion processes on a collection of fractals called fractal fields. These processes behave as an appropriate fractal diffusion within each fractal component of the field.  相似文献
